The founder of Stormhestar is Klara Sveinbjörnsdóttir. I was born in 1994, and raised in the west of Iceland. I have been riding horses since I was a kid and started training them at at a young age.
I have a super interest in everything connected to horses and knew from the beginning that there was never anything else I would do when growing up.
In 2015 I started Hólar University and in 2018 I graduated with honors. From 2018 to 2020 I worked in Hjarðartún, a successful breeding farm. In 2020 I founded Stormhestar with my boyfriend, Ágúst. We are located in Sandhólaferja in the south of Iceland. There we have a training stable and a riding arena.
Our Service
We offer two kinds of training, regular training of horses of all age and then we offer sale-horse training. I also offer riding lessons.
Training: Do you need training for your young horse or want to train your horse for FIZO? Maybe just need training for your riding horse? We take all kinds of horses, if you have something special in mind, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Sale-horse training: We offer horses for sale and always need good horses in our stable to offer. If you have a horse you want us to sell then these are the steps: The horse needs to be in good shape and ready for sale. We train the horse, videotape him and offer him to sale. If we find that the horse is not ready for sale yet, we can offer you to take him into regular training until he is fit for sale. Riding lessons: I offer riding lessons at Sandhólaferja and can also travel for teaching purposes.
